About Me

As the author and primary “poster” for Mike’s Paper Plate, I figured you should know a little about my background.  I’m a guy from North City St. Louis who has been lucky and blessed throughout my entire life.  I was raised by a loving Mother and as the youngest of 6 kids, I can tell you the youngest do not always get their way.  I received my big break in life when Dave Sinclair, a Ford Dealer in South St. Louis Citygave me the opportunity to wash cars.  I have always believed  that life is what you make of it, so I washed cars for years and then was given a chance to sell, and then become a Sales Manager at Dave Sinclair Ford.  My next big break was meeting my wife Claudia, who was introduced to me by one of Sinclair’s daughters – it was a blind date, but Claudia eventually learned to like me.

I moved to Linn Missouri in 1987, and then to Jefferson City in 1989.  After running a manufacturing plant in Linn -

Osage Industries - I was fortunate enough to buy the Ford dealership in Jefferson City in 1992.  The team here at Mike Kehoe Ford has allowed me and my family to be involved in the community for over 17 years, and we love the area we have called home now for 20 years.  We have 4 children who are all very involved in various sports and other activities.  Speaking of sports – all of us love watching Mizzou Football and Basketball.  and then some of us, my son and I, love watching Cardinals baseball.  Unfortunately, Claudia is from Chicago, so you know what that makes her.  As all Cubs fans like to say “wait ’til next year”.  They have been saying that for 101 years.

My other passion besides selling America’s best cars and trucks is our farm operation.  I started the farm in 1984,  and year by year and piece-by-piece, it has worked itself into my other job.  We raise Bermuda Hay, and “background” feeder cattle.  I have lots of help at the farm, from Claudia and then kids, but also from John & Karen – two folks that I could not live without and definitely make the farm operation sing.

New in my life this year is my desire to help the community and my family with an entry into State politics.  I am running for Missouri’s 6th Senate seat, and already this has been an interesting experience.  Our campaign for the Senate involves lots of great people who are helping us every day.  It’s very humbling to receive the support, love and resources that we have experienced during this journey.
